Modern Marvels, a long running series on The History Channel, decided to air an episode on Insulation. Greg Goldsmith, the episode's Producer, went to the local library in Los Angeles and found a copy of The Insulation Handbook on the shelves. His assistant called Rick and asked if he wanted to do the show.

Episode 11 in Season 13 (#497 overall) was originally aired on April 26, 2006 and is currently in syndication.
